For the record: Scottish, not English edit

I've changed it back. His biography page correctly states at this time that he's from Glasgow, Scotland. His family relocated to England when he was 10, possibly causing the confusion.
It should be said that most English-speaking people who've heard Donovan Leitch speak have probably caught on quickly that he's Scottish. If anyone cares to verify this, a good place to hear him speak is on the song "Atlantis," which has a long monologue, complete with a thick Scottish accent. --Verminjerky (talk) 11:56, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
Recordings edit
A significant re-recording was for the 1969 "Greatest Hits" album which he had to re-record for copyright reasons. It was replaced by the original 7-single version on the 1999 re-release of Greatest Hits on CD.
http://donovan-unofficial.com/music/compilations/special/donovans_greatest_hits.html: Epic wasn't able to get the rights to the original recordings of Colours and Catch The Wind, so Donovan had to record them again in November 1968 at Abbey Road Studios, London. To start with the obvious question: what do you think of Donovan and "Catch the Wind?" A: Well, I quite like that song, and he sings it quite well. He's very young though, and people might like to try to make him into something that he isn't; that's something he'll have to watch. But the song is O.K. Q: Isn't the tune a lot like your "Chimes of Freedom"? A: Oh, I don't care what he takes from me; I don't care what other singers do to my songs either, they can't hurt me any. Like with the Animals and "Baby Let Me Follow You Down", I didn't worry none about that. I met the Animals over in New York, and we all went out and got scoused. Is that what you say? (Someone behind him suggests "sloshed".) Oh yeah, that's it, sloshed. Anyway, the Animals are O.K., I liked their last one, "Don't Let Me be Misunderstood", that was a good one.
