I Fixed the wordnig at the end of the plot summary. We don't find out who the pilot is till the helmet comes off, so its pointless reffering to her as naomi till then

Deletion edit

AGAIN... another episode of a tv-show that NOT ALL information has been confirmed or gathered. "WHY" is it up for deletion? augrunt 06:30, 24 March 2007 (UTC) (Keep)Reply

I don't get it either. hippi ippi++++ 11:39, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Keep, whoever added the {deletion} tag has provided no valid reasons for deletion.Pyrotec

Biblical References edit

Could someone put that up? The whole Abraham story and whatever that was associated with this episode? Like the name of the wine bottles?

New character? edit

What's with the "new character" thing in the trivia section? Can anyone find a canon reference for it? Depressed Marvin 01:22, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Spoilers in images edit

Can you PLEASE stop using images that reveal big spoilers about the episodes? This has been requested before and still many of the season 3 articles have images that contain major spoilers. Please read the guideline for spoilers and consider this: what is the point of adding "Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow" if the image next to it contains a major spoiler? Most people notice the image first. - Nerwende 11:52, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Actually, if you saw that episode, you'd know that that's not really a spoiler. That happens in the first 5 minutes of the episode, for crying out loud. 205.235.34.131 13:11, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
    • Well I haven't seen the episode yet. But I've noticed that someone keeps adding images of dramatic scenes to the top of these articles and then others have to remove them or move them further down the page. - Nerwende 16:03, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
      • I agree with Nerwende. Although the picture may not technically be a spoiler, those who have never seen the episode may mistakenly take it as so. I'm sure there are many other pictures that can be used; why use one that could at least be seen as a major event in the story?
        • Yep, I'm taking it down. Can someone add a new image?hippi ippi++++ 06:22, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
          • Just added a new image, also added it to List of Lost episodes. Btw anyone know of a bot that would sync the images?
  • Please see WP:CENSOR. Articles are not censored due to spoilers, if you are spoiled then it's your own fault. You should come to an encyclopaedia (see Wikipedia:Content Disclaimer). Matthew 20:39, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Well it seems by the comments above that people (including me) do not like spoilers in the images, and wikipedia is a community based site so i'm pretty sure that we should listen to the majority.
    • Indeed, and that would be WP:CENSOR. Which is a policy, thus has the community's support. Matthew 20:02, 24 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Excuse me, Matthew, have you been following previous Lost episode articles? The Man from Tallahassee? We have all been through spoiler images before. I have, again, removed the so called "original, [but] more descriptive image", which, if you remember, was what you described the original image. Yes, it's descriptive, but it's a spoiler. There is a majority for using a regular, but not particularly "descriptive" image as it is not a spoiler, so I ask you not to remove this new image. R0ck1t, I liked Media:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg more than Media:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg. I thought you couldn't really see Desmond tackling Charlie much, so that's why I didn'd use it. hippi ippi++++ 09:05, 26 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
    • It's irrelevant if it's a spoiler, Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia -- it contains spoilers... so please don't spoiler troll. Matthew 09:16, 26 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
      • Obviously, you didn't read what I wrote. But no matter. At least you did not change the picture again. hippi ippi++++ 12:15, 26 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • I understand that articles are not censored due to spoilers, but as text with spoilers is generally put below a warning tag, I can not see why images shouldn't. I'm sure everyone agrees that is is easier to be spoiled by an image than by text because you only have to accidentally glance at an image. What I'm trying to say is: you can use images that contain spoilers, but it would be more polite to keep them under the spoiler tag as you would do with text. - Nerwende 23:42, 28 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Person wearing a helmet... edit

A person wearing a helmet stuck in a tree? Does this mean that the person is stuck in a tree, or the helmet is?

The person is stuck in the tree while wearing a helmet. Don't see how any confusion could arise from that tbh —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.192.38.88 (talk) 21:07, 29 April 2007 (UTC).Reply
It's actually grammatically awkward, which I think is the point of this person's comment. Technically, the sentence could be read this way. It could be worded differently. Fieryrogue 17:37, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Trivia edit

Don't know if this should be added to the trivia but the song Desmond sings when he is drinking the wine is The Celtic Song as sung by Celtic F.C. supporters

Go ahead, add it.

Portuguese? edit

I'm Portuguese, and I haven't seen this episode yet. Can you get a transcript of the supposed Portuguese text for me to confirm it?

Ardil-22 edit

As I understand it, "Ardil-22", was the title of the Brazilian edition of the book, in other words the edition of Catch-22 published in the country of Brazil. I think the title is based on Brazilian slang. Obviously, it would be published in the Portuguese language. If so, then shouldn't the reference to the book in the article make note that it's a Brazilian (made in Brazil) edition? (As I recall, the polar researchers were [supposedly] speaking with a Brazilian Portuguese accent, which may or may not have a future bearing on the plot). Just asking.

Are we sure that the book was seen in English in one of the flashbacks? Please confirm this, or remove it. Sorry Go Fish 01:02, 2 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Trivia edit

In the scene where Desmond give back is robe to Brother Campbell you can see a picture on the desk of an old woman with Brother Campbell. Someone knows who is she?

Naomi might not be the first person to arrive since 815. edit

It's likely that Richard Alpert was the "Richard" in Acadia park. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.42.205.73 (talk) 10:39, 23 April 2007 (UTC).Reply

WHY!? edit

WHY is no-one able to put a plot summary in the right order? The summary doesn't start talking about Desmon'd flashbacks till near then end, DESPITE OCCURING THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH THE EPISODE!

Trivia request: Korean ghost story translation edit

Hey, a simple request, for the benefit of others who don't understand Korean, could someone fluent in Korean provide a translation of the snippet of Jin's campfire ghost story? Many thanks! Lunaphila 17:19, 22 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Catch-22(Lost).png edit

Image:Catch-22(Lost).png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Rubbish edit

"it would be pointless for Desmond to save him, as it will keep happening over again"

The line cited above appears in the articles as if it were a quotation, namely something Desmond says in the episode. If I remember correctly, Desmond does not refer to himself in the third person, now, does he?

Who writes this rubbish? Twelve year olds? Honestly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.178.71.6 (talk) 14:19, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
