To whoever made this: great job! Some nitpicky comments though- certain bits are missing:

  • Gloria Reuben's appearance in season 14.
  • Paul McCrane's appearance in season 15.
  • Shane West, Alex Kingston and Laura Innes' first guest spots in season 15 (in Noah Wyle and Eriq LaSalle's case multiple guest spots are listed seperately, but not for West, Kingston and Innes).
  • Goran Visnjic's on-and-off appearances in seasons 14 and 15. Maybe a seperate category should be made for him, between "Recurring" and "Main character" (or maybe there should be a whole bunch of red and green bars for him in s14). He was more than just a recurring guest star after he left in 2007, he was billed as a main cast member in all episodes he appeared in.
  • Parminder Nagra was a guest star in her first episode (season 10 premiere), she joined the main cast in # 10.3.

Also, shouldn't we consider Carter to be a recurring character in season 12 ?

Improving the chart

edit

I reinstated the chart. Its removal was based on the following arguments:

  • trivial
  • original research
  • unsourced
  • lack of legend

This is not trivia. It's a rather useful visual representation of the data in the table preceding it, because it shows which cast member shares screen time with another cast member; and because it gives a sense of time to the raw data.

This is not original research. It is simply another representation of the cast information that is also in the preceding table.

However, this is unsourced. I think sources should be added to the preceding table, and the chart should just refer to that table. Casting information is the kind of data that almost always has reliable sources, so it's rather disingenuous to delete this data on sight. Instead, I've added a tag to come up with sources.

And it indeed lacks a legend. I've added a legend. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Remco47 (talkcontribs) 01:03, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Quality Scale

edit

I'm pretty sure this is at least a C, so have updated its quality to C level. Please discuss before reverting. It's not exactly well referenced, but it seems to carry a lot of useful information. JoshuaJohnLee talk softly, please 17:00, 8 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

All of the characters on ER have a page except Dr. Robert "rocket" Romano and Dr. Ray Barnett.

Dr Romano was added in season 4 episode 5 good touch bad touch as a recurring character in seasons 4 and 5 and in season 5 he was promoted to chief of the ER and in the beginning of season 6 he was promoted to a regular character and chief of staff until the middle of season 9. In the season 9 premiere dr Romano suffered an amputation of his left arm after walking into the tail rotor of a helicopter. In the middle of season 9 Romano was demoted from Chief of staff by dr Ansbaugh and dr weaver was promoted. She then gave Romano Chief of the ER he was chief of the ER until his death in season 10 episode 8 freefall when he was crushed by a helicopter in the ambulance bay. He was a surgical attending.

Dr Ray Barnett you'll have to do some research for but if someone could make these pages I would greatly appreciate it I would do it but I don't know how thanks. Mrucci0718 (talk) 02:20, 29 August 2016 (UTC)Matteo Rucci mrucci0718Reply

why is she so far down the chart when she was an ER doctor? Seems like she is lumped in with the hospital chiefs who were mostly recurring characters whereas she spent most of the series as a main character in the ER 217.155.25.156 (talk) 09:54, 30 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Timeline of County General Staff

edit

I really appreciate the "Timeline of County General Staff" table. But I do have some criticism. First, I cannot tell the criteria for what characters are and aren't in this table. Second, I think the characters should be in the same order, or a similar order, as they were in the "Main characters" table – basically from first to last introduced. Lastly, I do not know whether people who have color blindness can understand it. Color is not a problem in the "Main characters" table, because that one has letters like "M" for "Main" and "R" for "Recurring". I would make my own table of the main characters' jobs which does not rely on color, but I don't know if I can handle making such a large table. So far I've only been able to do edits on other people's tables, and minor edits at that, without messing up. If anybody else wants to give a color blind accessible version a try, here are some colors that work. https://colorbrewer2.org/#type=diverging&scheme=PiYG&n=9 108.20.199.76 (talk) 19:49, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
