This aircraft has an uncowled radial engine. No such power unit is mentioned in the text. Are we sure it is Ca.100? It's hard to tell if it is an inverted sesquiplane from that angle. I'll add a query to the imageTSRL (talk) 20:41, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Ah! Jane's Encyclopedia (cited) does say some had the "Fiat A50 uncowled radial". It also mentions two inline engines although, oddly, not the Gipsy. Further info may come from next AirBritain Archive.TSRL (talk) 22:23, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Turns out that there were several radials fitted, 2 with 7 cylinders and 1 with 5. Our image is too poor to count them.TSRL (talk) 12:38, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Austrian/Luftwaffe use?

This plane was used by the Austrian republic until 1938, shouldn't Nazi Germany then be included among the users?76.10.134.241 (talk) 18:11, 11 July 2015 (UTC)

There's no cite on the Austrian Air Force assertion so it may or may not be right. The longish piece in Air Britain Archive, cited, notes the Austrian Aero Club's use of 20 ex-Regia-Aeronatica Ca 100s but these had civil registrations OE-TxC with x= A, B ...V, excluding J and Q. Thompson's "Italian Civil and Military Aircraft" makes no mention of Austria in its Ca 100 section.
