I realise that the camera is still quite valuable on the used market, but it seems a shame that the only illustration is a snapshot of a second-hand model in a shop window, partially obscured by a price tag. Surely there must be one Wikipedia editor who owns a 1Ds and a second camera with which to photograph it, and the spare time and inclination to do so? -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 16:46, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've asked the chap who made this, which is perfect and under a creative commons licence although it looks a bit brown to me, perhaps my monitor is wonky. The current image is now a well-lit, in-focus image of a 1Ds with a totally non-standard lens that dominates the picture and looks odd. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 18:51, 12 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

The weight of the NP-E3 battery used in this camera is 300g (10.5 oz) which is not trivial. Why list the weight of the camera without the battery when it it comprises a fifth of the camera body's weight? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.15.239.3 (talk) 23:47, 6 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

To be fair, Digital Photography Review also lists the body weight only, without battery (here), and so I surmise it's an industry standard, perhaps in case the manufacturer changes the battery spec.
