This stub needs at minimum a literate rewrite, and ideally an expansion. --David Sewell 13:25, 2 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Did some spelling corrections and light cleanup. There's a lot of redundancy between these sections and, to be honest, I'm not sure why all of the sections are necessary for an entry on a book. Maybe it's just me, but surely children writing book-reports on themes can read the book for themselves? 65.87.169.2 07:25, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for not giving away the ending of the novel like the entry for Tortilla Flat does. Common sense has prevailed! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.160.121.211 (talk) 17:56, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I removed a comma between rye and beer under eddie. the correct reading is rye beer, so on not rye, beer, so on. rye is not a type of alcohol. rye beer is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.197.12.214 (talk) 06:06, 18 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Breed Of Dog? edit

It's been a while since I read the book, but I don't think Mack and the boys' dog, Darling, is a mongrel - I seem to remember it was a gundog of some description. Halmyre (talk) 07:12, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

The breed of dog is a pointer. Chapter 13 is the one where mack and the boys get drunk with the captain and his dog. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cannery34526 (talkcontribs) 22:00, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
