Calbe/Saale is not also known as Kalbe. There are two Calbe in Saxony-Anhalt, Calbe/Saale and Calbe/Milde. In 1952 Calbe/Milde became a county seat of the then new county Calbe. To avoid confusion with Calbe/Saale, Calbe/Milde was renamed to Kalbe. Therefor, Calbe/Saale is not written with K.
