What is the history of the name?, Does it have to do with the spanish (city) Cadiz (perhaps) or just coincidence? :? 81.9.222.84 21:57, 6 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

As an exercise for my Wiki article, I plan on adding on to the Education section and inserting some info on the new school levy and the K-12 building currently being built Malaniabirney (talk) 15:55, 14 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

The following is unsourced information:

While this is interesting, we can't use it unless you provide a source. Also, none of this is really trivia, as trivia by its definition is "unimportant information" - it therefore shouldn't be in a trivia section but instead the information should be incorporated into the main article. - Tbsdy lives (talk) 11:39, 19 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notable people section

I removed Leland White, Timothy Dunfee and Dustin Hasson from this section because they do not have their own Wikipedia articles which is required to establish notability. This is the information I removed: "Leland White-Actor imdb", "Timothy Dunfee - Legend" and "Dustin Hasson - known as "Hacksaw", also a Legend." John Timmons' Peer Review

First off, I really like your "History" section; it is comprehensive and it really tells a story about how Cadiz, OH grew and prospered. You also did a great job using citations, implementing links to other Wikipedia pages, and stating objective facts. You also do a good job of structuring your draft. I looked up other Wikipedia pages about small towns, and your structure is very similar to the article I viewed, which is good--no need to reinvent the wheel. I also liked the pictures and the map diagrams; it provided context by communicating that Cadiz, OH is a small, Southeast Ohio town. It helped to put a picture in my head as I was reading your article. Maybe consider adding Cadiz's flag as another visual.

One aspect where your article could improve is to make your paragraphs more even in terms of length. For example, your introduction and "Geography" sections are only one sentence, whereas your "Demographics" section is much longer. Consider evening them out; it provides for better consistency throughout the article. Additionally, I think it is okay to bullet point the people in your "Notable People" section, but perhaps preface that with a short paragraph summary. I noticed that a lot of politicians are from Cadiz, perhaps that is related to the political culture and climate of Cadiz, or maybe it is linked to education. I think expanding on something like this would make your article a lot more interesting (and it is already very interesting to begin with).

Overall, your article is well-written, interesting, and informative. At the least, bolster your introduction, "Geography," and "Education" sections. Despite that, excellent job.

Cadiz Ohio Article Peer Review

I really liked learning about cadiz Ohio in this article. I think you have done an outstanding job with the visual format of the article. It shows that time has been devoted to this article. It appeared that you maintained neutrality and unbiased in you delivery of information. The article is very informative with number although I felt overwhelmed by all the changes that occur by the every 10 year census. I also like the transition of the article how it shows the development of the city and how now its a big place for gas production. I am from a big city and I would appreciate your article including more about what exist as far places to eat and entertainment. Also maybe graduation rate of Cadiz school districts. Overall very informative article. --Bernice Matos (talk) 03:25, 21 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
