C.D. Huachipato → Huachipato FC – This Chilean professional football team changed it's official name from Club Deportivo Huachipato (Club Deportivo Huachipato still exists, as a separate, multisports club with no professional football team) to Huachipato FC when it became an S.A.in 2015, It's been recognized as Huachipato FC by the ANFP and by the team itself ever since, as shown in the official club website, it's logo and own publications.   I'll try to explain myself better on this discussion. Obviously, it's up for debate.

• C.D. Huachipato, from 1957 until 2014, was owned by Compañía Siderúrgica Huachipato, a steel mill still functioning in Talcahuano, that belongs to CAP Acero, a subsidiary of CAP.S.A (Chilean holding company of mining and steel sectors), when CAP announced that, due to the company's financial issues, they would let go of the sports team, which was C.D. Huachipato.

• Huachipato FC's was C.D. Huachipato's football department until 2015, when the team changed owners, to the newly formed Huachipato SADP, created in late 2014, and it formally started it's activities in January 2015. They are still the owners of the club as of 2023.

• From 2015, Huachipato FC continued playing in the Chilean football first division, not as a successor or phoenix team (it's considered and treated as the same team under a new name and administration, not as a new entity), instead retaining the ANFP (governing body of Chilean professional football, in charge from the first to third tier) professional license, structure, ground, history and accolades that C.D. Huachipato (in football) had until 2015.

• Huachipato is referred as Huachipato FC by the ANFP, TNT Sports (licensed Chilean broadcast of the Chilean Primera Division), and by other professional Chilean football teams. The name Club Deportivo Huachipato stopped being used to refer to the football team in 2015. Chilean media, be it regional (Biobio) or national (Chilean), do not refer to Huachipato as Club Deportivo Huachipato since 2015.

• Huachipato FC refers to itself as Huachipato FC in it's uniform (it's on the team logo) website (current domain is "huachipatofc.cl"), social media, and their own publications. Club Deportivo Huachipato, the multisports club, has it's own website (the current domain is "cdhuachipato.cl" and social media accounts under the Club Deportivo name. They haven't shared the same denomination since 2015.

• C.D. Huachipato (multisports) has no professional football department nowadays, it has a football branch that competes locally in Talcahuano and in regional/national non-ANFA/ANFP competitions, without afilliation to either ANFA (governing body of Chilean amateur football, in charge from the fourth to fifth tier, and amateur competitions) or to ANFP.

• About the article being remade, I must stress that, Huachipato FC is the team that currently competes in Chilean professional football. This entire article, barring the small "Other Sports" section, is about the football team, so I insist in renaming the current article to FC, rather than making a new one about FC, that would most likely contain the exact same content as this one, and leaving C.D. Huachipato as a Chilean multisports club stub with little information other than the "Other Sports" section currently in this article.
