Carolyn Bennett resignation edit
She seems to pulling the same routine as Annamie Paul, announcing she will resign but not actually doing it. The House of Commons website says she's still a member; Elections Canada hasn't announced a vacancy. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 07:30, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
- I came across many related pages, that had her tenure as MP ending last year. If you want to undo all my edits & other's edits, then be my guest. GoodDay (talk) 07:58, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
- Ugh. No, I'll just do Bennett's own page. It looks like everyone assumed she'd file her paperwork and she never did; maybe she's using Nadine Dorries for a role model. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 16:54, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
Latest Durham By-Election can be held is March 18, 2024 edit
Got reverted so i'll be clear about it, subsection 57(3) of the Canada Elections Act [1] "(3) Subject to subsection (4) and section 56.2, polling day shall be on a Monday.", the already linked source [2] states " by-election must be held on a Monday, at least 36 days but no more than 50 days after the day the by-election is announced". March 19th and 20th 2024 are a Tuesday and Wednesday respectively, latest the Durham By-Election can be held is March 18, 2024. WanukeX (talk) 02:20, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I missed the Monday part when I scanned the Elections Canada announcement. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 20:42, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
