Requested move 21 July 2017

edit
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Moved to Bury It, and the current contents to Bury It (disambiguation). There is (not so strong, admittedly) consensus that this song is WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, and WP:DABSONG is pretty clear on the issue. No such user (talk) 09:31, 21 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Bury It (song)Bury It – Only song on the dab page with an article. 2601:8C:4001:DCB9:2DC9:63F9:6391:2DD (talk) 21:47, 21 July 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. -- Dane talk 20:58, 30 July 2017 (UTC)--Relisting. DrStrauss talk 18:53, 8 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 21:51, 21 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
But neither does a No.93 charting song in Scotland. This is clearly a highly generic title. Ambiguating it doesn't help readers, particularly mobile readers who we will now force to load a large article with graphics on a barely charting song just to read a hat note to the dab page, and then still have to go to the dab page. There doesn't have to be an absolute topic among many barely notable bits of entertainment trivia. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:59, 24 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
I mean, I can't say I've ever heard of this song, but I'm not sure how it shows no hint of being notable when it clearly charted on more than that one Scotland chart you seem to like. The Palisades EP doesn't look notable at all and could probably be deleted, I can't find a single source at all that talks about the Alter Der Ruine song, and the 2002 short starred a whole host of non-notable actors and has a whopping 7 votes on IMDB. From the way you talk about how this is a very generic title and readers are aching to see a DAB page, I would expect there to be more than 3 other topics that could never conceivably have articles. The primacy or otherwise of any topic should be assessed by the properties of the topic itself, rather than of how Wikipedia currently covers the topic. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 13:43, 25 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
