Burr is tiny! But it's already listed in Wikipedia's list of communities in Saskatchewan, in Wikipedia's list of hamlets in Saskatchewan, in the List_of_places_with_fewer_than_ten_residents, and in the 8-way maps for the nearby communities of Guernsey, Meacham, Plunkett, and Muenster. It's on the Wikipedia Saskatchewan_Highway_20 map and on highway maps. The Wikipedia entry for Plunkett, Saskatchewan says that the Victoria Cross recipient Zengel (a main claim to fame) lived in the nearby village of Plunkett, but the cited Encyclopedia of Saskatchewan entry is clear: Zengel lived in or near Burr. The Saskatoon Star Phoenix article about the potential Burr potash mine says the population has dropped to 3, but Wikipedia elsewhere says it's 7, there's no census figure (the census area is the municipality of Wolverine, of which Burr is the "capital").

The author of this article has no connection, and has never had any connection, with Burr, any inhabitant of Burr, or any enterprise in the Burr area. Peter Gulutzan (talk) 03:39, 2 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
