This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it describes a local community interest initiative that has received international attention

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Thank you for this new article, but note that other editors have questioned whether this project is notable enough for a Wikipedia article. I agree that the article has signs of an attempted promotion, which is also against Wikipedia rules. For pointers, follow the links in the notice at the top of the article. If these matters are not addressed, future editors could call for the article to be deleted..
