They cite in lead
It's a small thing and I don't want to blow it out of proportion but I really don't feel a need for the citation in the lead sentence. While I understand the argument that this could be "complex, current, or controversial", the article subject's gender identity is more or less the only other information in the article beyond the filmography table. It's not difficult to find the citation for that information because it's cited in the only other text in the article. In addition, I don't think that it continually being reverted is a good argument because those doing so are almost certainly acting in bad faith - having the citation there isn't (and hasn't) going to stop it being reverted by IPs. Sam Walton (talk) 18:36, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
- Agreed. From my editing experience, no matter how many lead sentence references, editnotices, etc. are placed on a nonbinary BLP, IPs and new editors will still misgender them. Semi-protection is the only thing that seems to help, and even then some confirmed editors will continue to insert binary pronouns. (I'm nonbinary and go by singular they pronouns myself, for the record.) Funcrunch (talk) 21:28, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

According to https://www.legit.ng/1306595-brigette-lundy-paine-bio-age-partner-career.html She was born on August 10, 1994 in Dallas, Texas There’s a bit more biographical information there that could also be included here. Chrisjej (talk) 23:02, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Chrisjej: Not done: per Wikipedia:Citing IMDb. GoingBatty (talk) 23:10, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Chrisjej: Next time, instead of changing your post, post a new reply at the bottom of the section. I am reopening this again since you changed the URL from IMDb to legit.ng. I'll leave it to other editors to determine if legit.ng is, um, a legit reliable source. GoingBatty (talk) 02:22, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- Partly done: Legit.ng states that they sometimes accept user-generated content. I could not confirm whether this was the case here, although the credited author has articles in other publications, I still think a better source might be preferable given this is a BLP. I could not confirm the date from another source, but I have found an interview from last year which describes the subject as "25 years old" so I have added the year of birth only. birthday
Why isn't their birthday included? August 10, 1994. They plays a 16 year old on the Netflix show Atypical; it's interesting to see their true age vs. their character's age... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ashimm1 (talk • contribs) 14:50, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
- We need a reliable source to include anything in the article, especially a date of birth. — Fourthords | =Λ= | 04:08, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

archival?
When the talk-page guidelines says to archive upon exceeding 75 KB, and the archival how-to says the purpose is for when "that page becomes too large [or bulky]", why then is Joeyconnick (talk · contribs) determined to regardlessly auto-archive this page's discussions after 180 days? As it's currently sitting at 2769 B of discussion, this talk page may never become to large to navigate, and it's certainly awfully early to assume it will. Does anybody know why that editor has added this? — Fourthords | =Λ= | 05:40, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
- "That editor" tends to set auto-archiving to 6 months because after 6 months, it seems reasonable to consider that any untouched discussions are stale. I leave 4 threads because that's the threshold for auto-generating a table of contents and also strikes a balance between archiving stale discussions and having a totally blank Talk page. —Joeyconnick (talk) 23:23, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
- A stale discussion isn't necessarily worthless to an editor or reader eight months later, though. It's neither my place nor yours to say what will and will not be of interest, use, or benefit to those in the future. Now, however, those discussions will be hidden regardless of value to other future editors, which wouldn't be the case if following the guidelines and enwp how-tos. — Fourthords | =Λ= | 04:13, 8 September 2020 (UTC)

Birth year
The newspaper source I included (San Francisco Examiner, 7 March 1999) quotes Laura Lundy-Paine and says she "takes her 4-year-old daughter from Alameda to Piedmont for preschool." The mother's name is correct, the place (Alameda, CA) is correct, and the daughter's age is around what one would think for Brigette. I found this article on Newspapers.com. General Bradley (talk) 01:55, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
- That all sounds reasonable but it's still not 100%. I think it would be better to go with the source where there's no doubt that it refers to the correct Lundy-Paine. Since this new source doesn't give us any more certainty than the old one, I'm not seeing a good rationale to abandon the previous one. —Joeyconnick (talk) 02:33, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what would constitute a 100% source in this case. IMDB isn't acceptable, even though it seems weird to think that someone would lie about their birthdate on that site. But it's not my call. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ General Bradley (talk) 18:47, 25 December 2020 (UTC)

Brigette Lundy Paine is non binary and was born on August 10, 1994. They are 26 years old. This actor has played Casey on the Netflix show Atypical, and played Four Finger Annie on Action Point in 2018. They are bisexual and are currently engaged to Joshua Hoover. They are close to the cast of their show Atypical. Fivel Stewart is part of it too and she plays Izzie on the show.

Currently listed as being "born 1993 or 1994." According to IMDB they were born on August 10, 1994. Therefore you need to change "being born in 1993 or 1994" to "born August 10, 1994." Boisebigd (talk) 06:06, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
This is suggested as a change to reflect the date listed on IMDB. Boisebigd (talk) 06:07, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
