Recitative edit

Is the piano lesson song between Lois and Brian a recitative? If so, this is an in-joke referring to the opening sequence where Brian's date didn't know what a recitative is (or even pronounce the word) (not that I'm smart enough to date Brian myself). edgarde 07:24, 30 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

No, it's just a parody of The Music Man. Good question though. EvilOverlord88 (talk) 22:29, 9 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

PC age edit

When Brian sings about the PC age they pass some posters: Visually challenged(blind man), chronologically imparied(old man), vertically challenged(short man), Ethically challenged(a killer), financially impaired(poor man) and country music star(redneck)

Binary edit

The binary on the chalk board doesn't translate to ASCII well, even trying a few different combination (e.g. following th instructions of the arrows). The binary that the woman speaks [01101001] translates to the letter 'i.'

Ending edit

Is it me, or is the ending the sweetest ending the show has, or ever, have. You know, befor thoes damn jokes. --BrianGriffin-FG 15:43, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Star Trek edit

I'm too lazy to research this but, I think the idea of using the virtual reality as brian used in the end is an homage to one of star trek tng episodes.

Virtual Reality edit

I think the bit where Peter uses virtual reality well before Brian does should be referenced, so it's not as jarring to read about Brian and Pearl using it.

I'd add it but I don't remember much about the original VR scene.

Fair use rationale for Image:FGBrianWallowsPetersSwallows.jpg edit

Image:FGBrianWallowsPetersSwallows.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

A subliminal message edit

When the family is dining at the Chicken Coop after Brian meets Pearl, the neon sign under the "Chicken Coop" sign shows a hand choking a chicken. "Choking your chicken" means that you are masturbating; should this be noted?ShokuMasterLord (talk) 15:07, 16 July 2008 (UTC)ShokuMasterLordReply

I would call that a visual pun rather than a "subliminal message", and in my opinion, it's not important enough to note here. The Family Guy wiki should totally mention this, though. ShutterBugTrekker (talk) 22:59, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Controversial images edit

I watched this episode uncut and it had the WTC. I watched it after 9/11, I knew what 9/11 was, and this episode premiered after 9/11, but it still had WTC. Should we add on this page this scene that is sometimes cut in the page? --Sneaky Oviraptor18talk edits tribute 20:09, 6 March 2009 (UTC) (PS, yes I am too young to watch this show but I still do.)Reply
