I think this is worth saving; there are some good references that could be put inline and I've taken out the digressions and (I hope) made it more encyclopedic. I do think the concerns raised have been addressed sufficiently to let the article remain in place for further future improvement. Please take a look and consider removing the delete tag. It still doesn't seem notable enough to me. This isn't a syndicated program that's well known with consistent personalities hosting it, it's a clever name given a programming segment that can be used by any radio station. The list of radio stations featuring such a program is probably very very incomplete. This program no different than "Get the Led Out", a block of Led Zeppelin tracks, or a "My Generation" show that features 60's music. Many many stations do it, but since they all do it their own way and with the own personalities, it's not a notable concept.--Rtphokie (talk) 18:40, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

The syndicated program alone would be notable enough, there are lots of precedents (cf. In the Studio with Redbeard). In my opinion, the "original" Philly one would have been notable enough. This article manages to explain the concept, the history, and cover many specific examples, all of which might be useful to someone searching for information on the program. But there is no evidence that it's syndicated. From what I understand, it's just a commonly used name for a radio program. Usefulness doesn't establish notability.--Rtphokie (talk) 02:02, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Are you even reading the article? The existence of the syndicated version and its relationship to the local versions is spelled out fairly clearly and referenced.

At any rate, this article has a three-year history with multiple editors and I object to summary deletion, so I'm removing the tag. Jgm (talk) 06:57, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
