I have been thinking about the etymology of the Ebonic origin of the slang use of "Boo" and suspect that it may have come from the poplular Hanna-Barbara cartoon Yogi Bear. For it seems that the use of the term "Boo" is not just a romantic affection but the deeper meaning is that of an "inseparable" pairing.
