Cleanup

I removed some entries that are dictionary entries, not needed in a disambig page:

• To go to flower, usually in the case of a vegetable plant like broccoli, which may cause the flavour to change.
• To run suddenly, as in bolting for the exit.

I removed entries that had no article to link to, or which were self-promoting and/or non-notable:

• The internet website Bolt.com, which is a social netwroking site for young adults.
  • A DC Comics character affiliated with the Suicide Squad; see Bolt (DC Comics).
  • A Marvel Comics character who was partnered with Maverick and later assumed the Maverick identity himself.
• Brown Outdoor Leadership Training (BOLT), a leadership and orientation program at Brown University.

Please read the Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(disambiguation_pages) before trying to "fix" this cleanup.

Bolting

I came to this disambig page looking for the bolting article, shouldn't it appear here? --David Monaghan 01:49, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

Well, I'm new to this so I will request that someone else add the reference to bolting back in, just as I have requested that bolting be moved to something like Bolt_(botany). --David Monaghan 11:56, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

It may not always be a good idea but there is a Wiki convention which frowns on verbs in titles (Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Use gerund of verbs). So along the lines of your thinking it would be Bolting (botany). I agree that this might be the best answer but it is also normal though perhaps not rigidly fixed, that parenthesis be used only where there is already an article called for example Bolting. Here therefore, Bolting would be the convetional form of the title.

I have put the old version of the Bolt page on Bolting discussion page so that you can take out of it what you think fits best. (RJP 21:44, 8 January 2006 (UTC))

Thanks for the wisdom RJP, I see now that the article Bolting can (and probably should) remain under the same title, I have retracted that (informal) request on Talk:Bolting and have made a follow up comment there as well.

It doesn't seem like Bolting even belongs here now that I look at the current version and see only nouns... Verbs are alright on disambiguation pages aren't they? If they are Bolting belongs here right? --David Monaghan 05:54, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

Door bolt

Where's the article on the things you use to keep doors from being opened? I've tried looking under lock and latch and can't find what I'm looking for there either. Tiggum (talk) 06:15, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Latch (hardware) is about the closest I can see. We should have a page at bolt (door), whether this should be an article or a redirect to a section within this latch page. Andy Dingley (talk) 09:32, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
