'Electronic' or 'electrical' musical instrument? edit
The Blaster Beam is described as having metal strings and guitar pickups, and played by striking or plucking the strings. This sounds rather like an electric guitar. The article presently describes the Blaster Beam as an "electronic musical instrument". The article Electronic musical instrument does not list the electric guitar or any similar instrument. Electric instrument does list the electric guitar and similar instruments. I think that the Blaster Beam is better classed as an "electrical, or electric, musical instrument", and I am changing the article accordingly. FrankSier (talk) 23:53, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- I think that is right, and I'm not sure that this instrument is any different than the "Beam" played by Mickey Hart during Grateful Dead concerts, as heard on the album "Infrared Roses". Hart claims to have invented it, I think, but he has claimed a lot of things. Wastrel Way (talk) Eric

Use in Star Trek II? edit
