Coming up for air was prob based on binfield heath and not binfield.

Bad link edit

There is an erroneous link. The link to Jean Elphinstone, actually leads to the page of Mary Elphinstone, who was her mother. Jean Elphistone does not appear to have a wikipedia page. 86.28.165.76 (talk) 21:04, 23 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Stag and Hounds tree edit

The article refers to the tree as an Elm. It was not. It was an Oak. I know, I used to play inside its hollow trunk in the 1960's, long before Dutch Elm disease hit this country.

it was illegally cut down, and I believe, but cannot prove, that this myth of it being an Elm was created to justify that event. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrisweber21 (talkcontribs) 00:32, 29 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
