Talk:Bibra family

Latest comment: 11 years ago by 118.173.142.176 in topic no living members?

After the complaint about references I added numerous sources. I can many more if anyone wants more. The first two references and the last were recent doctoral dissertations which were also published as books. The first two are exclusively on the topic and the last is on one member of the family.--CSvBibra 15:58, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am going to reorganize order. The three recent doctoral dissertations on the Bibra family modified and published as books are by WERNER WAGENHÖFER, MARTIN STINGL and MICHAEL MÜLLER.--CSvBibra 17:17, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

This brings up an interesting question. How many generations have to pass before one can write on them? How distant a cousin do you have to be before you can write about them? Is the last common ancestor 400 years ago too close? Surely not if it is a different last name. If it is the same last name, is 400 years too close?--CSvBibra 16:29, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm more concerned by the links to your own website and the apparent use of primary sources in the article. RJASE1 Talk 16:34, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
The two links are 1) my own web site on the topic which is the best on-line reference (although books by non-family members are better overall, they are not on-line) 2) a link page I put together which shows many relevent sites. I was curious which parts of the article appear to use primary sources?--CSvBibra 17:00, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I would like feedback to my last question as there is doubt when enough corrective action has been taken to remove the "warning labels".--CSvBibra 19:05, 17 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I will remove tags now that references have been added, and added strongly, in a couple days if no one objects. If there are still any concerns, I will address them. --CSvBibra 17:32, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I just removed the second tag as it is now well referenced.--CSvBibra 14:20, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Interestingly, an article on the subject just showed up on the German Wikipendia by persons unknown to me.--CSvBibra 17:16, 21 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest deleted edit

Hello, I do not see any argument, that the author CSvBibra is not writing in a neutrale and non-profit stile. All facts are correct as far as I can see. Congratulations for the reseach of localities in Germany, I added them on the German page. For a further discussion watch out for my account in Wikipedia Germany or the Commons: PeterBraun74. Thank you. I felt it was it was inappropriate for me to remove the tag myself. If there are any graphics you need put into commons for the German Wikipedia articles relating to the Bibra family, let me know. --CSvBibra 17:15, 7 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

no living members? edit

why does this interesting family outline stop in the year 1934 (Bibrawiki.jpg)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.173.142.176 (talk) 12:39, 21 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
