Fair use rationale for Image:Beyond the Fringe.jpg edit
Image:Beyond the Fringe.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. William Christopher edit
The Wikipedia article for actor William Christopher (Fr. Mulcahy) states that he made his Broadway debut in Beyond the Fringe; does anyone know in what capacity? Was he a substitute cast member, like Paxton Whitehead, when the principle cast went back to Britain, or did they have understudies for the main cast during their run? I could see him being a plausible choice for the parts taken by Alan Bennett, but that is purely a guess. Jock123 (talk) 23:40, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
- Interesting question! He was in a touring production along with Paxton Whitehead in fall 1963, before Whitehead went to Broadway, so I would assume he was brought in from the touring show just as Whitehead was. I would agree Alan Bennett is a plausible role for him; we know Whitehead "did" Miller, as far as I know Moore stuck with the show to the end of its run, and I can't see him as Cook. --Walnuts go kapow (talk) 09:39, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
