- Half of the county does run along the River Tweed which until Berwick is the border between England and Scotland. Benson85 04:34, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Historically inaccuracy edit
"the royal burgh (Berwick-upon-Tweed) changed hands in 1482 and has been part of the county of Northumberland, in England, ever since."
- Actually this is wrong. Berwick only formally became part of Northumberland in the 19th century, despite being controlled by England for far longer. In addition, it was originally by treaty between Scotland and England, part of neither (but in reality controlled by England). --MacRusgail 18:29, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Number of districts edit

- I was wondering the same. According to the edit history, this was old vandalism that wasn't reverted completely. I've changed back to three now. //Essin (talk) 10:21, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
