"Route 66" was written by Bobby Troup and was covered by many, many artists over the years, (including Nat King Cole) so is might be a little misleading to say that the song is a "Nat King Cole hit." It might be clearer to phrase it as "the novelty standard, 'Route 66' by Bobby Troup."

No more Syynthpop
