It is quite likely the the name Bedford Falls, although supposedly a small town, was actually based on two neighboring cities in Southern New England, New Bedford and Fall River(formerly River Falls). These were two cities that suffered dearly during the Depression and in many ways, never recovered to this day.

The town could refer to any number of small towns in New England including the couple that are relatively near New Bedford and Fall River. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Numberonesurvivor (talkcontribs) 03:55, 22 July 2006

Nick is only the bar owner in the world that lacks a George Bailey. Perhaps a note? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.164.249.104 (talkcontribs) 09:32, 25 December 2006

I've redirected this page to It's a Wonderful Life; it has no sources, lots of original research and assumptions, and seems wholly constitutive of plot reiteration from the aforementioned film. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 01:57, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
