Detroit Lions helmet
editI would like to contact Mr. Bremen because I saw him on T.V. (WDIV) some years ago and he was dressed as a Detroit Lion and the helmet he had belongs to me. I grew up in Bloomfield Hills across the street from Cranbrook where the Lions held their training camps for years in the early seventy's. I got to know three playeys intimately by asking if I could carry their helmet down from the dorm to the field and back. If they were nice you would get a glass of gator aid. I carried Bill Tripletts helmet (the one Barry has and the one Bill gave me when he retired.)Also Jim Teal and Charlie Weaver. These players became great friends of the family and spent alot of time at our residence. My name is Don Miles and I grew up at 671 Orchard Ridge Rd. across from where the tennis bubble used to be. If there is anyone that could pass along this message I would appreciate it. I don't know if it was sold by my mother in one of her many garage sales but the fact that he lives so nearby it would indicate that indeed it is Bills helmet. What else gives it away? The face mask, the ring that hangs down and the squareness of the helmet because they had an almost square look. Look inside and you should see the number 38 because that was Bills number. I would really like it back if only to give it back to Bill the rightful owner. My email is donmiles109@gmail.com. Please contact me if anybody can help. signed, Don Miles —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.112.17.5 (talk) 05:55, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
