The last line of this about Spooksville's team needs to be updated. I was on the team when we beat those 5 BBS's (my player name is Empire of Death, or EoD). Since that first run of that stratagy (Known as BlackStar).
I am the SysOp of Darkness BBS. We recently did the SAME thing in 000 from Darkness, only difference is that during peace time we used a 3% tax rate, kept up to 2k Urban regions. Then during the war we dropped it to 0%, as a result losing NO population even when regions were taken from us. And we, of course like X-Bit, went on to win the round. We are also winning this round by score, thus far.

Strategy guide and not much else
editThis seems to be more of a strategy guide than an encyclopedia entry... way back in the day (oh here he goes again), I used to do a bit of the ol' BRE myself, but there doesn't seem to be much in the article between "basic description of game" and "hard-core strategy discussion". Perhaps someone who is more recently-experienced with the game could flesh out the gameplay, rules, etc a bit? Rtucker 02:16, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
A history on the underhanded methods of winning would be cute too, particularly with the old BBS days when sysops were more likely to have a hand in playing.
bre cheating
editbbs is dieing fast there is over 500 boards my last count.so the sysop are letting cheating to go on untill they get caught.i have ran 75 dupe acoounts in leauge 000 for three resets.to try to keep things intreresting.some of you know me as gator,opus,bart cutthroat,blunt, hopeking james.i love bre and i hate to see it dieng ever board has duppers.but the sysop that dont care will let u run as many dupes as u can.i had two boards ds69,klinglons that kr 3 boards in one round.and had spys on the boards we kr.i was taught the blackstar metdod by eod death who by the way is the best bre player ever.i go down the line of a board with 30 players kr 2 at a time my 30 other players would feed them networth 000 there no gooies so i had plenty of jets.running that many duppes is hard when i was at war i played 18 hrs a day if tt was good i would send 4 attacks a day whith each player and send bombs keep up with all the in game i had to do burnt me out.i play on one board right know and no duppes any more.know there nobody to fight which sucks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.52.170.6 (talk) 00:58, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
