Canadian shows
Doesn't (or didn't) BBC America show some non-BBC, non-British shows. In particular, the Canadian shows The Kids in the Hall and Trailer Park Boys? --thirty-seven 20:29, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Actually I think it did show The Kids in the Hall. But I'm not really sure. I'm 95% sure they showed it atleast in syndication. --Zero Cool 05:18, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Doctor Who...
Hopefully you can help me out. Does BBC America air Boctor Who when it originally airs in the UK? Because if it does I'm going to start watching it on there rather than on Sci Fi Channel. PLEASE HELP! lol --Zero Cool 05:16, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
- The simple answer is no it does not air the episodes at the same time. In fact they are two series behind the Sci Fi channel airings (BBC A is currently airing season 1 while Sci Fi is almost done with season 3). BBC America execs foolishly turned up their noses at airing the new Dr Who series at all. Then when it was picked up by the Sci Fi channel and proved to be one of their more popular shows they had a rethink. Sci Fi undoubtedly has first rights to air further seasons of DW (at least for the time being) first with BBC A being allowed to have their showings of the episodes after they have been run on Sci Fi. The logo pictured
Could someone who knows how to do these things please change the logo that is in the infobox? This rather ugly creation (POV I know many apologies) seems to have had a short life (another fired ad exec do you think?) and is not currently being used with any advertising for this channel. What does this * mean

EastEnders?
The History section says "When popular UK soap EastEnders was cancelled", however, the article for EastEnders says that the show is still running. Does this phrase mean "when EastEnders was cancelled from airing on BBC America", or something else? Yngvarr 12:46, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Censoring and Editing are not the same thing

I've changed phrases and calendar items that are more common to the UK to their US counterparts. The article itself states, "BBC America is an American television network, owned and operated by BBC Worldwide Americas, and available on both cable and satellite" and that BBC America is "distributed in association with Discovery Networks, the United States division of Discovery Communications and parent company of the Discovery Channel."
