Mono vs Stereo and "tape loop" edit

Current version reads: "The stereo version, which is ten seconds longer and features more psychedelic audio effects such as a tape loop during the fadeout, appears on the 1972 compilation The Kink Kronikles as well as the deluxe 2-CD reissue of Something Else."

This comment is unsourced and not quite correct.

There are certainly differences between the stereo and mono versions to my ears, but they are not what I'm reading here. There are no tape loops. There are backwards effects at the ends of both the stereo and mono versions. The mono version has a hard start, while the stereo fades in. The mono has a lot of additional background vocals missing in the stereo version (which I suppose might have been recorded directly into the mono mix, as the Kinks seemed to do a fair amount in 1966-8).

Anyone object to a revision of this section? Anyone like to do the honors?
