Wikipedia is an encyclopedia! Wikipedia should not report a news event about a notableperson for whom there is already an article. We are trying to write an encyclopedia here, not publish a newspaper. The article about the Attempted assassination of Katumba Wamala should be merged with the article about Katumba Wamala, before this article develops too far. There is already a section in that article about the assassination attempt and that section should be expanded first, rather than this article. Should there be an overwhelming story about the assassination attempt then perhaps this article could be developed, but it would need to be at least ten or twenty times larger than what we have now, i.e. Of the order of 30,000 to 60,000 bytes, at least. Something of the order of 10,000 words would be a good start for an article like this, but that would suppose that more than 25,000 words had been written about the notable person and it was already a good article that needed trimming down. At the moment this is not the case; hence the merger proposal. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 04:22, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
