If these are the two dominant factors, we should not have the period start in 1940. The notion that a nuclear war might happen did not arise until the 1945-1949 period, and the Cold War is generally understood to have started in 1947. When I've seen the term 'Atomic Age' used, it is *never* used for World War II, so I don't think a starting date before 1945 is reasonable. In the late 1960s, mass protest against nuclear power (as opposed to nuclear war) first started. That seems like a much better end point, especially as a new design aesthetic became dominant in the same period. I propose changing the dates to "from 1945 until the late 1960s". 82.176.221.176 (talk) 08:23, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
