• Actually, after an analysis, I found that Astore District gets most of the pageviews. For example in the last 90 days, "Astore District" gets 5,029 views out of the total 7,452 for all the 5 pages combined. So I have changed my mind. I think we can make "Astore" a redirect to "Astore District". Khestwol (talk) 07:50, 23 July 2022 (UTC)

Pageviews by themselves are at best only a very indirect indicator of usage (in this particular case: the district may get a lot of the views, but it's relatively less likely to be referred to by the unqualified term "Astore" than the city). The clickthroughs from the dab page are more relevant here [1]: for the last month, the city got 20 clicks, which accounts for less than half of the total visits to the dab, while no other topic got more than 10. – Uanfala (talk) 09:19, 23 July 2022 (UTC)

20 clicks for the city is small, but the number of clicks for the district (whatever it is: all we know is that it was below 10) was at least twice as small. Article views (like your figure of 5,029) only weakly correlate with usage, as only a tiny proportion of them are due to readers searching directly on Wikipedia. – Uanfala (talk) 20:56, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
