Although the PrC called Gnome Artificer was introduced in the Magic of Faerun, the Artificer as a base class was not in said book; it is however, found in the Eberron Campaign Setting.

- Does anyone else agree that Artificer should be the gnome favored class, rather than bard? They have a lot of technical aptitude, and this is reinforced by the artificer class; the only thing the bard class represents for gnomes is illusion spells. They were better off with illusionist rather than bard!

Perhaps some D&D discussion page would benefit from its reappearance where it's relevant.
