  • "he studied at Gonzaga College, before entering" no need for that comma.
  • " national alumni network" this links to List of Georgetown University alumni - but you note it as "national", did no-one ever come from outside the US?
  • "Following the end of " -> "After"?
  • "At the end of his life," -> "Towards the end..."
  • "He was educated ..." previous "he" was his father.
  • "the adjacent St. Aloysius Church..." any connection to his middle name worthy of note?
    • None that I know of. Probably just that his family was Catholic and acquainted with the Jesuits. Ergo Sum 21:46, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Don't think we really need a link for "acting" in this context, it's pretty standard language.
  • Same comment applies to "inauguration", this is a standard English word.
  • " Edmund A. Walsh urged O'Leary " who was Edmund?
    • Added a brief description. Ergo Sum 21:59, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • "The following year, The Hoya echoed" introduce The Hoya.
  • "and the invasion of communism " this is POV, so it needs quotes or rephrasing (e.g. "prevalence"?)
    • Done. You're right; I was paraphrasing the source too closely. Ergo Sum 21:48, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • "was re-established[a] as an " yck, move the footnote to the end of the sentence.
  • "nearly died" quickly repeated.
    • Removed the redundant one. Ergo Sum 21:50, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • "Therefore, he went ..." feels clunky. Maybe something less scientific, like "as a result" or "because of this"?
  • "replacing the president of the university during wartime" this is a little odd for me, did they need to do the replacement "during wartime" often or seldom? Or do you mean they took the unusual step of naming his successor .... during wartime?
    • The latter. Does this not come across? Ergo Sum 21:51, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Why is Georgetown suddenly linked in the "Later years" section?
    • It never came up prior to that. That link goes to the neighborhood, not the university. Ergo Sum 21:52, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • "February 8, 1962 a" comma after 1962.
  • Something I should have noticed about twenty reviews ago, the suc-boxes have "37th" and "40th" in there, nothing in the article seems to back that up.
    • In my opinion the order of officeholder is something that might fall under WP:BLUESKY. Admittedly, that's an essay I'm generally loathe to endorse. Normally, I would say if there is a source that supports something, cite it. However, in this case, there are several sources that conflict. Older ones use a different numbering system, assigning a number to acting presidents. However, newer (and generally more comprehensive/thoroughly researched) sources like the 2010 Curran book do not give the acting presidents a number. As far as the Holy Trinity one goes, the source provides a chronological list of pastors but does not explicitly number them. In each case, especially the latter, I don't think such an inference necessarily demands a citation. Ergo Sum 22:06, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Otherwise neat and tidy and no major complaints. As usual, on hold while we wade through these. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 20:12, 27 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

@The Rambling Man: Thank you for your review. Ergo Sum 22:07, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Ok, nothing here that is outside of the scope of GA. I am curious about the reliability of the enumeration in the succession boxes, but that's a really trivial issue. Indeed I was somewhat castigated for objecting to categories at a FAC which had no RS within the article, perhaps my standards are too high! Anyway, I'm more than happy to promote the article, good work as ever. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 19:11, 3 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
