Flimsy article edit

Gosh, flimsy, this. I have read some very good medical articles on wiki (such as the pneumonia article)that included substantive info including causes, treatment, and prognosis. This one's just the definitions. And such an important topic! Knowledgable folks, please contribute! 1 April 2008‎ (UTC)

Vitamin K2 prevents and reverses calcification of heart and arteries edit

Seems to me that people need to know about the role of vitamin K2 in preventing and treating calcification of heart and arteries. Just google "vitamin k2", no other search term needed. If you really want to get some exciting news, add the word "calcification" or "arteriosclerosis" to your search terms. Seems like the cause of cardiovascular calcification in very well known and has been known for many decades. Why physicians don't tell us how to prevent and treat this killer of a disease is based upon the notion of "follow the money", and a "sick patient is a paying patient". Hypertension causes arteriosclerosis? edit

Many believe that hypertension is caused by arteriosclerosis, not the opposite. Changing the wording to:

  • Arteriolosclerosis is any hardening (and loss of elasticity) of small arteries and arterioles (small arteries). It is associated with hypertension.Kenckar (talk) 19:34, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ill-formed sentence edit

"There is no medical treatment for atherosclerosis shown although more likely the drug being sought by the pharmaceutical industry."

This sentence is unreadable. It doesn't make any sense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.197.161.162 (talk) 18:05, 14 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
