I spent many nights photographing bands at the Armadillo and have been working on uploading these photos to my website as a photo archive. I currently have a dozen photos of the club, plus about 25 photos of bands that played there including Spirit, Roger McGuinn, and Kenny Loggins. You can view the archive here, Armadillo Archive. The photo illustrating this article is one that I have put into the public domain. I'd like to also add a link from this article to my archive so that more people can relive their memories or see what it looked like if they never got to visit the club. In accordance to Wiki policy, I'm soliciting the points of view of other editors. Would anyone be opposed to including this link? SteveHopson 22:19, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

List of bands

I'd be fine with an even longer list. I can't provide a citation to prove John McLaughlin played the 'Dillo but I know I heard him there. Don G Taylor (talk) 04:20, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

Coordinates printed on poster?

Posters for the venue usually noted the address as:
525½ Barton Springs Road (Rear),
behind the Skating Palace (approximate coordinates 30.258 -97.750)

Were the coordindates actually printed on the poster? (This was before the GPS era.) This image [1] doesn't show them. If not, the "approximate coordinates" item isn't needed because the exact ones are given at top in the usual Wiki style. Either way, the actual language should be set off with quotes or italicized. I agree, the address did not include latitude and longitude or GPS coordinates or anything of that nature, or at least I never saw that. I suppose somebody added that to the article for some reason, or it appeared on some posters as a joke. Also, there was no "Skating Palace," those words merely appeared on the end of the Quonset-like building that housed the Armadillo, facing the street. There may have been a Skating Palace there previously. The entrance to the building was not where it said "Skating Palace"; you entered from the side or later from the rear, where the beer garden was. The whole "Skating Palace" business was a joke and typical of the lackadaisical way that things were done in Austin: they never bothered to paint over the words. The end of the building labeled "Skating Palace" was where the stage was located. Wastrel Way (talk) Eric

'Some acts that played at the Armadillo'

I propose removing this entire section. It's just an endlessly long, mostly unsourced list of artists without any encyclopedic relevance; the most significant artists that played there are already mentioned in the History section, anyway.
