I called the 587 test for Shaw, but the recording said it was for "Rogers Communications in Alberta, Canada".

587 Area Code for Hay Lakes??

As a resident of Hay Lakes, about 50 Kilometers south and east of Edmonton, I was surprised to see we will be receiving a new area code apparently reserved for Southern Alberta

Wikpedia shows the new area code will be 587 instead of 780. However it also shows our prefix numbers in this small village as being 593.

Our preix has always been 878.

Hmmm... Provost appears to be listed as 878 instead.

Can someone verify and clarify this information?

587 is for the entire province. It is not just a southern Alberta area code. --Kmsiever (talk) 21:03, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Formatting

Perhaps there's a way to format these codes somehow so that they're easier to read. As of now, it's just unformatted lines of text. I'm not sure if I can use a table for this, can I? M85ße (talk) 11:47, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
