I have real doubts that the images shown actually show galls of A. grossulariae. They look to me like early Knopper Galls. As reputable sources such as Schönrogge et al.[1] and articles in the journal Cecidology do not support range expansion to Scotland by 2010 the images have probably been misidentified.
