General Definition

I'd like to see at least a general defintion of 'analog' here, perhaps contrasting it with 'digital'. Example (paraphrased from Wikipedia's definition of 'digital'): An analog system is one that uses a spectrum of values rather than a discreet set of values (ie, as in an digital system). I'm very sensitive to the partial title match issue too, but this particular page raises some different issues. This dab is odd because the disambiguated word is an adjective rather than a noun. Per Wikipedia:Article titles, we don't normally have articles on adjectives. For many adjectives, there is a corresponding noun form that we can redirect to. For others, different uses of the adjective are covered in articles on noun phrases that contain the adjective. See for example, Organic, which is pointed to by WP:NAME as an example of how to handle adjectives. Most of the entries are noun phrases containing the word "organic". These are not mere partial title matches, but rather are links that disambiguate the concept "organic", by providing an article on a specific sense or use of that concept. I think that many of the links on this page serve the same purpose.

I'm going to restore analogy, because it does disambiguate a particular use of the word analog: the things that are compared in an analogy are analogs of each other. There is an example or two of this usage in the linked article. Some of the other meanings you deleted may also have this character.

I would like to move Analog (program) back where it was. This is a very rare use of the term; much rarer than the ones that now appear below it. Dab pages should usually be ordered by importance, relevance, or frequency of use. In no case should a rarely-occurring meaning appear above much more common ones. Things that are ambiguous with the title "Analog(ue)" are distinct from things that are ambiguous with the title "Analogy", even though the English words are related. Linking the related disambiguation page in the "See also" section is the usual way to handle that case (or merge the two dabs, which I think would be a bad approach for this case). Disambiguation pages are not sources of dictionary/etymology/linguistics information. I am not suggesting that analogy should be included merely because it is linguistically related to analog. Rather, one meaning of the word "analog" is "the thing from which an analogy is drawn". According to Mirraim-Webster, 'analog' is only an adjective. So it is not a 'thing from which an analogy is drawn', it is the quality of being an analogy.
