Are there any alternatives which could be used to compare the processing power of mobile( Android) devices against the desktop computing machines? Or is it a better and more reliable idea to install Complete Linux and run a standard Linux benchmark there? I haven't tried that...

Aaah, I have found GeekBench( 3), which seems to measure those things for 32-bit integer and float computing at least. Got surprised to see my new smartphone outperform( slightly) my old laptop..;)
