I'm torn on this one. Seems notable enough to me, since the company has been on the list of best companies to work for three different times ... but the current article reads like advertizing... Brian 15:24, 6 July 2006 (UTC)btballReply

Removed the advertizing and POV

It's still a pretty minimal article though, so I added a stub tag and request for expansion Brian 15:55, 6 July 2006 (UTC)btballReply

American Century Investments is a Mutual Fund company that is based in Kansas City, Missouri with assets totaling nearly 100 billion dollars. The company was founded by James E. Stowers, Jr. in 1958. It employs around 2,000 people. The company prides itself on not being involved in any of the financial scandals that have rocked certain Mutual Fund companies. For investing, the company relies heavily on computer generated stock screening with special algorithms based on Mr. Stowers' own financial theories. From the personal wealth Mr. Stowers produced from American Century Investments, he started the Stowers Insitute, a 2 billion dollar biomedical research facility.

The company guiding pricinciples include:

    •Providing Value for our Investors
    •Challenging our People
    •Building a Financial Sound Company
    •Being Adaptive and Innovative
    •Working with Integrity

Not Advert

edit

This is standard language (at least the first paragraph) but the 2nd paragraph is about Stowers and his wife. Notable indeed, but for his entry not American Century Investments.--WondoMathias (talk) 20:45, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Post-buyout status

Is there any updated info that can be included on the current state of affairs at the company?

While it had long prided itself on its spotless track record, that was before the death of Jim Stowers and the subsequent sale of large parts of the company to a foreign holding company who does have multiple incidents of misconduct in recent years.

Surely, someone must have some balanced insight?
