looked in wikipedia commons and google free images: nada. There is a GREAT image of Wieber in mid-air doing the twists of the vault, but it is AP photo.

External links section deletion

Concerned about losing those links. I tried to be very thoughtful about which ones I picked and they have pretty high information content of relevance to the article. The first one shows all the women who have done the vault (which is a lot of the information content and being directed to a vidoe that shows that gives the user a lot more info.) The second one is a very good one in terms of showing the mechanics of what actually happens on the trick.

Is it a copyright concern? (since it's just a link, isn't it on Youtube what they allow, and they do have procedures with takedown notices and the like, for instance, people often put up whole competitions and those are usually scrubbed. But the kind of video I linked to is pretty stable...can check the dates, too.)

I admit I may have been too abrupt about deleting that. I'm looking more closely at WP:YOUTUBE, where it states, "Links should be evaluated for inclusion with due care on a case-by-case basis". As long as those videos are not copyright violations, they can be linked. I'm not quite sure what the deal is with videos taken directly from a television broadcast. HA!  :) I was so proud of myself for finding the best ones. There's even parallelism of structure as the "list" is in the same order (you'll see if you play the video, btw I'm not pushing it as creator or buddy of creator...I just found it and it was spot on.). Something else to keep in mind

Yurchenko (vault) has a bullet point pertaining to Amanar: "Amanar/Shewfelt (2 1/2 twisting Yurchenko): Roundoff, back handspring entry; two and a half twisting layout." Apparently, "Shewfelt" is an alternative name for Amanar. Goodvac (talk) 06:48, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

LOL (I really did.) Laughing at myself, for not explaining it better. Amanar refers to the trick as done by women, and Shewfelt by men. Amanar is the more common term, for both sexes, but Shewfelt is sometimes used when desribing a man doing it and would be the technically correct term for a man throwing a Y-2.5 The section Males performing Amanar was an attempt to explain this (I think it makes sense to keep it together in one article) You could just title it "Yurchenko two and a half twist" and cover both, but Amanar is the most common term. That'd be fine since the article is rather short without the lists. Make it clear that Amanar is for women and Shewfelt is for men. Goodvac (talk) 07:21, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
