1) The article is entirely dependent on one primary source (Benn's diaries). This is not appropriate. 2) The article says nothing about the details of the AES. Its written rather as a political justification for the AES. "With Britain in economic crisis in October 1976, Benn again put forward the AES with the support of Peter Shore in Cabinet."

This is not correct. Peter Shore put forward his own different proposal on the economy which was presented on December 1st along with the Alternative Economic Strategy. Peter Shore had his own different point of view. While he disagreed with the policy of the cabinet as a whole, he was not an absolute supporter of the AES. See "The IMF Crisis of 1976 and British Politics: Keynesian Social Democracy" p. 138-139

As well, its not correct to say that the cabinet rejected the AES in December 1976. The AES was one of multiple papers that were presented to the cabinet on December 1st on economic subjects. It (AES) can be said to have received almost no support in the cabinet and been closely questioned, but cannot be said to have been rejected. It was simply one of a number of ideas that were presented and it was not even the united policy of the left in the cabinet. 75.17.124.140 (talk) 00:57, 18 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
