I do not object to have here alternative names for villages in minority languages if that ethnic group is majority in that village. However, I am not sure that these alternative names are written for proper villages. Here is the detailed ethnic map of Vojvodina from Serbian Wikipedia:

It would be correct that village Nikolinci have Romanian majority, as well as that village Janošik have Slovak majority. However, according to this map, village Vladimirovac have Serb ethnic majority, while Seleuš is ethnically mixed (The map do not show who is the relative majority there). Another village with Romanian majority could be Lokve. PANONIAN (talk) 03:51, 14 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Comment: You are correct about Lokve (the locality name was in the meantime officially changed to Sânmihai) there is a definite Romanian majority. However, the names mentioned are not only reflections on other languages widely spoken in that region, but are names of those localities still used by the inhabitants, and in most cases are historic names from the Austro-Hungarian Empire times. These alternative (old) locality names are viewed by the natives as more valid than names changed post-WWII. gaston200 (talk) 13:26, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
