Article says "...granted a charter to the Alexandria Canal Company in 1830. ... Construction began soon afterwards on the Aqueduct Bridge" but the next paragraph says "Construction of the bridge and of the Alexandria Canal began in 1833." 1833 is *not* soon after 1830 except in a very sloppy way. In any case, it's redundant to say "construction began" twice. The reference is clear that construction began in 1833 so I'm removing the earlier sloppiness. Also, removed the "unloading" comment - there is nothing in the reference to back that up. The hardship as I interpret is the lack of riverlocks which only became available in 1845, 2 years after the Aqueduct Bridge was completed. Donlibes (talk) 19:28, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
