Conquest

edit

Which one of the apes in Conquest was Aldo and where was his appearance in that movie confirmed? I'm asking, because I always thought he first appeared in the final movie of the series. --84.169.80.79 (talk) 19:39, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

He's listed in the credits, and appears to be the gorilla who gets the most screen time. Caesar calls him by name, in the final scene where he's dealing with Brent. (I believe he's the one who gets manhandled - literally - early on, when Caesar loses his temper.) Zephyrad (talk) 03:06, 12 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot! 84.169.72.66 (talk) 13:40, 14 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

There are two different Aldos in "Conquest..." The first is a chimpanzee who is beaten by police when Caesar shouts, "Lousy human bastards!" The second is one of the gorillas fighting in Caesar's revolt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 20.132.64.141 (talk) 15:09, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

There are not two different Aldos in Conquest. The Aldo in Conquest was a Chimpanzee played by David Chow. No other Aldo is credited in the film. The Aldo in Battle is a different character entirely. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.244.77.35 (talk) 15:16, 22 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re: recycled character names

Oh, yes... the name Galen was repeated, between the first movie (he was a surgeon who worked with Zira) and the TV series (he was Virdon and Burke's companion)... but he was still a chimpanzee. Didn't change species between the two. I would also like to see 67.244.77.35's sources... mine are the movies themselves, the book adaptations, and the 1970s graphic novel series, each drawn from primary and contemporary sources. One person's book or webpage, made thirty-plus years after the fact and contradicting earlier materials, is a questionable source at best. Zephyrad (talk) 03:14, 3 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

The source is the movie itself. Take a look at this clip they are clearly calling the Chimpanzee Aldo. http://www.potamediaarchive.com/LousyHuman.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.244.77.35 (talkcontribs)
