This is not NPOV "Alba is also the home of the famous "Duck Butter" hot sauce. Designed by world famous hunter, angler, and chef, Don Thomas, this sauce is an excellent blend of peppers and spices, and will enhance the flavor of most anything you choose to pour it on. For more info, just check out their site, www.duckbutterhotsauce.com." More like someone hocking their website, lived in Texas my whole life and never heard of duck butter hot sauce or Don Thomas —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.96.95.99 (talk) 05:11, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

James Loewen accuses this town of being a sundown town (and implies it still is). Brutannica 23:00, 8 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

James Loewen has more than likely never even been to Alba Texas. It is not a "sundown town". Just because it is mostly white and Hispanic does not mean racist. No one wants to live there! That is how I know he never visited Alba, or he would mentioned that this town needs industry to move in and bring more people and jobs. We need an over educated elitest section here.

I think that if you ask people what Alba is home of I doubt that you will get the response of Duck Butter hot sauce. I haved lived in Alba my whole life and did not grow up with Duck Butter or Don Thomas as a household name. I think maybe someone needs to get there history right on Alba and quit trying to sell hot sauce. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.46.62.232 (talk) 14:09, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Brutannica, I've added a passage documenting the town's history as a sundown town, citing both Loewen and contemporary published sources. Hopefully it lasts longer than the section that was there previously. (I take no stance on Duck Butter hot sauce. ;^)) – Minh Nguyễn 💬 18:18, 10 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
