The lead is nonsensical

edit

It states:

"Al-Qaṭāʾi was...razed in the early 10th century CE...incorporated into Cairo in 969 CE."

If razed in early 10th, how could it be incorporated into Cairo in 969? Current wording suggests "razed for good" – if rebuilt in the c. half century between that and 969, then say so. If its former territory was incorporated, then also say so. As of now it makes no sense whatsoever. Arminden (talk) 13:01, 6 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps it meant to say that when the city was razed, the only surviving structure was the mosque. Whether it was later rebuilt or incorporated into another city is relevant only to the subsequent period. Mhatopzz (talk) 22:44, 20 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
