This map applies but I don't know if it will fit :). Zerotalk 02:50, 9 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I´ve added that ( and the Jacotin-map) to the commons-cat. Huldra (talk) 14:57, 9 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Daher el-Omar edit

Some of those who have uploaded pictures of the graveyard to commons, write that Daher el-Omar is buried there. None of the sources I have (Khalidi, Petersen) mentions this. Does anyone have a source for this claim? Huldra (talk) 14:57, 9 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Volney says his head was pickled and sent as a trophy to Constantinople, but he doesn't say what happened to the rest. Zerotalk 15:57, 9 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Figures for 1945 edit

Hello, I think there is a problem in the way the data for 1945 are given. According to the two (related) sources, the Statistics of 1945 and Hadawi 1970, there were indeed 810 Muslim inhabitants, but also 270 Jews (who are missing in the article). On the other hand, the data for the agriculture, land, etc, which are given here in the article, are the total data (separated in Arabs, Jews, Public and Others in the 1945 Statistics, and Arabs and Jews in Hadawi). It is rather misleading for the readers. I think either one gives the data only for the Muslim population (saying that it is partial), or one mentions all the inhabitants. I cannot correct myself as I have not enough contributions on WP-en (I am mainly contributing to Wp-fr). Thank you in advance, --Cgolds (talk) 20:40, 3 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Cgolds, I added Jewish residents to the sentence based on the same Village Statistics source. Thank you, nableezy - 20:44, 3 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Nableezy Thanks a lot for this vey quick answer :) ! --Cgolds (talk) 20:49, 3 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Sigh. The 1945 data are deficient far, far more than one place. My hope was to have two tables, like in the Zarnuqa or Raml Zayta articles, in all the places where the Village Statistics, 1945 are referred to. (That is 800−900 articles) Alas, inserting all those tables is desperately boring work, which I suppose is why it hasn't been done so far, Huldra (talk) 21:57, 3 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
I understand, but what will be the sources for these tables, if not the 1945 data ? Or Hadawi, but as far as I can see for the moment, it is the same (with some grouping). Also I am not sure about your answer : does it mean that there no Jews in fact in this village, despite the 1945 data and Hadawi. Or is it a more general remark ? We are translating these articles on the French Wp and you have done an excellent job, really ! Thanks, --Cgolds (talk) 14:59, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. And yes, it was a general remark; I think more work is needed (in most cases), wrt to the 1945 data. As I said, I think the "goal" should be to have all the info in tables, like in the Zarnuqa, Raml Zayta and Kafr Thulth articles. And yes: I have mostly used the Hadawi numbers for those tables, with a link to the "original" 1945 numbers. This, simply because the Hadawi numbers are far more easy to read. Also note: a lot about the 1948 stuff are missing from these 1948 villages, Huldra (talk) 23:18, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yes, we are aware of it, but for the moment I am mostly doing translations from your articles with due references to them. It is not easy to have access to certain books here. I must say that I am really surprised by the differences between the Survey of Palestine Fund 1881 data and the 1887 data for the moment ! Thanks again and all the best--Cgolds (talk) 16:53, 12 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
