R.e. removed image edit

My personal preference for having said image is because besides that all the civilian operators we have are Euorpean, this to me added diversity. The page could comfortably accommodate it so I don't see a layout issue. Mtaylor848 (talk) 16:53, 12 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

I dont think we have every tried to get operators from different "regions" as far as I know it has never been a factor. Images are choosen to illustrate the article and show different aspects of the design. We already have six images and have to remember this is an encyclopedia not a photo feature, we have a link to commons to expand the coverage of images. I presume the image you are discussing is File:Mexicana Airbus A318 AADPR.jpg which is a cluttered and dark image and doesnt really add any value to the article. pls tell me what is an upcoming Sharklets — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.25.105.249 (talk) 08:42, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Is this correct? edit

"range of 3,350 kilometres (1,810 nmi), or 6,850 kilometres (3,700 nmi) with upcoming Sharklets"
Sharklets do improve range but not that dramatically. Could someone verify this? BadaBoom (talk) 01:13, 17 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merger with the A320 Family Article edit

I think this article should be merged with the Airbus A320 family Article as a section of this Article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mulhollands063 (talkcontribs) 22:27, 9 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

The original intention was actually to go the other way and split out the variants into different articles but it has not been done yet. That said the A318 is distinctly different from the others in the family that is can justify a stand-alone article. MilborneOne (talk) 07:43, 10 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Was produced or Is produced edit

I changed the lede to "was" because A318 has not be produced for about 4 years. Likely no more will be made. The Boeing 747SP was like that but a few years later, one got ordered and produced. Vanguard10 (talk) 06:13, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

It still appears on the Airbus website as a current product and could probably be built if ordered. 16:18, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

Good article edit

I am thinking of improving this article and submitting it for GA consideration. It may be a bit early but the rules don't say there is a penalty if there is a reapplication. Vanguard10 (talk) 06:13, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Last A318 edit

The 79th and last A318 delivered was in 2013 to Universal Entertainment, a Japanese customer. N777UE is the registration. This was an Airbus A318-112(CJ) Elite. Uncertain is why there were 79 delivered instead of 80. Vanguard10 (talk) 17:21, 20 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
